According to U.S. Customs statistics show that in 2009 January-April, the United States imported 232 million U.S. dollars daily-use ceramics, up 28.23% reduction; which ceramics imported from China 161 million U.S. dollars daily, accounting for 69.28 percent share, up 18.81 percent reduction. The first four months of 2009 a total of U.S. imports of ceramics for daily use has been a downward trend in the depth (-24.73% year-on-year in January; the cumulative January-February year-on-year -31.65%; January to March a total of -30.03% year-on-year; the cumulative January-April -28.23% year-on-year). European Union Customs statistics show that in the first quarter of the EU (27 abroad, the Ministry of Trade) imported ceramics for daily use 287 million U.S. dollars, up 23.22% reduction; of which imports from China 213 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 74.1 percent share, up 21.74 percent reduction. EU imports was continuing a downward trend (-19.48% year-on-year in January; -19.92% year-on-year January-February; January-March year-on-year -23.22%). China accounted for the EU market share of imports of ceramics for daily use has always been maintained at around 75 percent, affected by declining imports, the EU imported from China the amount of the monthly decline, in which ring the month than in March fell by 39.4 percent, the European Union in March than in the month than the average decline in Central 28.2% more more than 10 percentage points.

The above statistics show that the impact of financial crisis, economies in Europe and the United States on imports of the continuous shrinkage of ceramics for daily use, yet do not see signs stabilized.
